The following are important requirements of each Sequoia Guides tour and must be agreed upon before booking your tour
Cancellation policy: You may cancel for any reason up to 5 days (120 hours) before the start of the tour with a 10% cancellation fee. There are no cancellations 2 days (48 hours) before the start of the tour. There are no refunds or date changes for missed tours. As a courtesy, the late arrival grace period is 1 hour for day hiking and 30 minutes for stargazing.
Date change policy: You may request to change the date of your tour for any reason up to 5 days (120 hours) before the start of the tour, date availability permitting. There are no date changes after 5 days (119 hours) before the start of the tour.

Sequoia Guides strongly encourages all participants to consider purchasing travel insurance. All refunds and date changes are at the discretion of Sequoia Guides. Park entrance fees are not included in tour price. Transportation is not provided. Duration of private tours are up to 6 hours with the guide, lunch time included. Stargazing duration is 1.5 hours. Duration of snowshoe tours is up to 4 hours, lunch time included. All hours referred to are Pacific Time.
Contingency policy: If weather conditions prevent access to the meeting location on the date and time of the tour (example: NPS has issued an official road closure) or if the guide has not arrived within 30 minutes of the proposed meeting time, then the client will receive a full refund minus the 3rd party payment processing fee. Note: a partial road closure or a closure of a road or area that does not affect the tour is not sufficient for a refund. For stargazing, if rain is in the forecast you will receive a full refund minus the 3rd party payment processing fee.
Booking window: Tours can be booked starting 1 year before and up to 1 day (24 hours) before your tour.
On the trail: Safety for you, other visitors and the park itself is our priority therefore your group must follow all National Park rules and regulations. We will learn and practice proper hiking etiquette and Leave-No-Trace principles (see FAQ for more information). We will treat wildlife and nature with the utmost respect so that it can be preserved for future generations to enjoy.
Fitness statement: Participants should be in good physical condition and should take safety precautions seriously. Sequoia Guides will evaluate the fitness of clients and adjust trip plans to accommodate fitness levels. If you have a relevant health condition please notify the guide. Note: All travel in Sequoia and Kings Canyon has inherent risks.
Acknowledgement of Risk: By signing up to participate in any Sequoia Guides tour you and your party agree to the following Acknowledgement of Risk statement. Upon your request, paper copies will be provided by the guide the at the start of the tour. Refusal to agree to the terms herein will result in a non-refundable cancellation of the tour.
